EPOXY &
POLYURETHANE
SYSTEMS
SkyEpoxy offers a wide range of flooring solutions, including Epoxy, Urethane, & Polyaspartic; tailoring each combination for the specific project. Each system of ours starts with a high durable industrial strength 100% solid two component mix with different ranges in durability, decorative finishes, additives, cure times & specified chemical resistance. All of our Epoxy & Urethane Resin Flooring Systems are 100% seamless & non-porous. They can be treated with anti-microbial agents, ensuring that your facility is easy to clean, & leaving nowhere for germs or contaminants to hide. We are constantly educating ourselves about the latest available systems & technologies to ensure each floor can be at its best. SkyEpoxy representatives will lay out a clear & decisive plan on how to meet your goals & give you the system that best suits your project.
EPOXY COATINGS
Epoxy is a Commercial/Industrial grade solvent free, no odor, 100% solids, general purpose, two component surface coating approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. It provides a high level of chemical & moisture resistance, making it a useful coating for warehouse floors. Epoxy binds tightly to the floor and provides a hard & durable coating, available in a wide range of colours. While faster curing versions are available, standard epoxy cures between 10-12 hours. Base Epoxy is best installed above 10 degrees Celsius.
URETHANE COATINGS
Urethane coatings are more resistant to abrasions, scratches as well as UV light. They are better at retaining colour & sheen, keeping the floors looking newer for longer. The primary draw back with Urethane vs Epoxy, is that Urethane may not bind as tightly to concrete as Epoxy does. 99% of the time, Urethane is used as a sealer to the Epoxy Coating. This way, we have the chemical resistance of Epoxy with the abrasion & colour retaining factors of Urethane.
INDUSTRIAL FLooriNG SYSTEMS
-
Skyepoxy GTC System is a two-component, self levelling, 100% solids, low- viscosity, self priming Epoxy Resin System engineered for Industrial applications. This seamless system is designed for medium to high foot traffic, fork lift & rubber wheeled carts. It can be installed clear or with a variety of colour options. Depending on the project budget & required level of durability, the system is available in both single & two coat systems. The GTC Floor System creates a finish that is highly reflective, abrasion & chemical resistant, all the while being easy to clean & maintain. For applications requiring extra protection from potential slip hazards, we recommend the addition of a non-slip additive to the system. The non-slip application can be achieved with a silica sand or aluminum oxide broadcast, dependent on the desired finish texture of the project.
